About this product

The CEB 28R recumbent bike from CoscoFitness is designed for comfortable seated cardio workouts at home and in suitable semi-commercial fitness spaces.

A recumbent bike is an exercise cycle where the user sits with the pedals positioned in front of the body. Therefore, it provides a different riding position from a standard upright exercise bike.

In addition, the CEB 28R combines a 9 kg one-way flywheel, 24-level magnetic resistance and 27 workout programs. As a result, users can adjust their workout according to their fitness level and preferred exercise intensity.

The bike also includes a sliding seat and adjustable mesh back. Therefore, users can set up a more suitable seated position before beginning their workout.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike – Key Features

9 kg Flywheel A one-way 9 kg flywheel supports smooth and steady cycling movement.

24 Resistance Levels Auto-tension magnetic resistance provides 24 levels of workout difficulty.

27 Workout Programs Built-in programs provide different options for structured exercise.

Sliding Seat Quick-release seat adjustment helps users set their distance from the pedals.

Adjustable Mesh Back The mesh back can be adjusted to help support a comfortable seated position.

150 kg User Capacity Cosco lists a maximum user weight of 150 kg for the CEB 28R.

Cosco CEB 28R Recumbent Bike with 24-Level Resistance

The CEB 28R recumbent bike provides 24 levels of magnetic resistance.

Magnetic resistance means magnets control how difficult it feels to pedal. Therefore, resistance can change without the user manually moving a friction pad.

First, users can select an easier level for warming up or relaxed cycling. Next, resistance can be increased for a more demanding workout.

However, the highest resistance is not always the best choice. Instead, select a level that allows smooth and controlled pedalling.

9 kg Flywheel on the Cosco Recumbent Exercise Bike

The Cosco recumbent exercise bike uses a one-way 9 kg flywheel.

A flywheel is the rotating part inside an exercise bike that helps maintain the pedalling motion.

Therefore, its flywheel works together with the magnetic resistance system during the workout.

In addition, the 3-piece crank connects the pedals to the bike's drive system.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike with Sliding Seat

The CEB 28R includes a quick-release sliding seat.

First, adjust the seat so your feet can reach the pedals comfortably. Then, check that your knees are not completely locked when the pedal is farthest away.

As a result, household users with different leg lengths can adjust the bike before exercising.

However, users should always check that the seat is securely locked before starting the workout.

Adjustable Mesh Back on the CEB 28R Recumbent Bike

The bike also includes a comfort mesh back with incline adjustment.

Mesh allows air to pass through more easily than a fully solid back pad. Therefore, some users may find it comfortable during longer exercise sessions.

In addition, the back angle can be adjusted to help the rider find a suitable seated position.

Cosco states that its ergonomic seating is designed to provide a natural seated position and reduce pressure on the upper body joints.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike with 27 Workout Programs

The CEB 28R recumbent bike includes 27 workout programs.

Cosco lists program options such as manual, preset, Watt control, HRC, THR, user and body-fat modes.

HRC means heart-rate control. Meanwhile, THR means target heart rate.

Therefore, the console gives users several ways to organise a workout instead of using only one fixed exercise setting.

However, heart-rate and body-fat readings from fitness equipment should be treated as general workout information rather than medical measurements.

Digital Console on the CEB 28R Recumbent Exercise Bike

The digital console provides several workout readings.

These include time, speed, distance, RPM, calories, Watt, pulse, recovery and body-fat value.

RPM means revolutions per minute. In simple words, it shows how quickly the cycling mechanism is turning.

Watt is a measure of exercise power. Therefore, users can view how much work they are producing during the workout.

What Does Semi-Commercial Recumbent Bike Mean?

Cosco describes the CEB 28R as suitable for semi-commercial workouts.

In simple terms, semi-commercial fitness equipment can suit more regular or shared use than basic household equipment.

Therefore, the CEB 28R may suit dedicated home gyms and selected shared fitness settings. However, buyers should match expected usage with Cosco's warranty and installation guidance.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike for Home Cardio

A seated exercise bike can make indoor cycling convenient for household users who prefer exercising at home.

For example, users can begin with a comfortable resistance and steady cycling pace.

Next, they can increase workout time or resistance gradually as their fitness improves.

However, the bike itself does not guarantee weight loss, improved heart health or a specific fitness result. Instead, results depend on the complete exercise routine, diet and individual health.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike for Older Adults

Some older adults may prefer the supported seated layout of a recumbent bike.

In addition, the sliding seat and adjustable back allow the riding position to be changed before exercise.

However, age alone does not determine whether this bike is suitable. Therefore, anyone with major balance problems, heart concerns, significant pain or a recent operation should seek professional advice before starting a new exercise program.

Can the CEB 28R Recumbent Bike Be Used for Physiotherapy?

Stationary cycling may sometimes form part of a professionally planned exercise or physiotherapy program.

For example, a physiotherapist may choose controlled cycling when it matches a person's condition and treatment goals.

However, Cosco markets the CEB 28R as fitness equipment rather than a medical rehabilitation device.

Therefore, it should not be described as guaranteeing recovery after knee surgery, hip surgery, injury or another medical condition.

CEB 28R Recumbent Bike – Safety Tips

First, place the bike on a firm and level floor.
Next, adjust the sliding seat before starting the workout.
In addition, set the mesh back to a comfortable position.
Also, begin with a resistance level you can pedal smoothly.
Meanwhile, use console readings as general workout information.
However, stop exercising if you feel chest pain, severe dizziness, unusual breathlessness or significant pain.
Moreover, ask a healthcare professional before exercise if you have an important medical condition or are recovering from surgery.
Finally, do not exceed the listed maximum user weight of 150 kg.
